Time: 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM Location: All American Valley General Store, Seymour, Connecticut Contact: General Store Website: redcloverfarms@hotmail.com It is not too early, it is not too late, to start your garden this year! We plan three classes, Thursday evenings, 5/3, 10 & 17 from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. The first class will include some facts about light, soil, water, and the basics of what a plant needs to thrive. The second class will include ways to improve the soil short term and longer term. A demonstration of transplanting a seedling will be given. The third class will go into more detail about composting, watering, and weeding. Alternative garden layout and plant selections will be presented as time permits. During each class, participants will have an opportunity to practice a simple gardening task, producing an item that they can take home for their garden. Cost is $30 for three sessions.
