Compost tea is a liquid extract of well-made compost that contains beneficial microorganisms and beneficial fungi. By steeping finished compost in water beneficial microorganisms, fungi and plant growth compounds are extracted into solution. It is made in a variety of ways, including with or without aeration, depending on whether it is a soil or foliar feed.
