Polyculture

Here are some examples of polyculture, a more ecologically robust way of growing plants for their beauty, food, medicine, fiber, wildlife, and other purposes.

Polyculture encourages different kinds of plants to grow in the same area. A well designed polyculture will include plants that help each other. Plants may provide others with nutrients, or camouflage against predators, or they may attract beneficial insects.
